Who We Are
We are the cult for you. The first, and only cult based on the idea that you, the follower, know what's best for you. We let you pick your own belief system, whether it's God, Gods, Ancient Illuminated Spirits, Alien Overlords, any combination, or something else entirely. We are in touch with all of them. In fact we are pretty sure that many of the people we meet every day are either aliens or possessed by demons. All that matters is that you believe fervently in whatever it is that you believe in.

Founded in late August 2001, as a response to the Cult Leader's desire to no longer hold down a day job, Shinra lay dormant for three years while our tenets and beliefs were fully worked out. When that became too much work we decided to chuck it and just believe in everything. What could possibly have wider appeal?!

Now Shinra is opening its doors, and arms, to the world at large.

The Cult Leader
The Cult Leader is the source of wisdom that lies at the center of Shinra. He is many things, to many people, including, but not restricted to, the following:

  • God
  • The physical incarnation of God
  • The descendant of Atlantean hierophants
  • The mapping of a ten dimensional super entity into 3-d space
  • A messenger from the stars
  • The PR flack for an intergalactic livestock concern
  • The channeler of the 40,000 year old spirit of a Homo Floresiensis tribal Elder

He is all of the above and more. He is both the source and reflection of all of our hopes, fears and desires. He's great - really, really great.

Where We Are
Shinra is headquartered at The Compound, a massive facility at an undisclosed location somewhere in Colorado , the same state that has played host to such visionaries as Nikolai Tesla, inventor of the electric death-ray, and the first human to visit the planet Venus. Colorado is also home to many Christian Fundamentalist leaders, such as Mullah Jame's Dobson, of Focus on the Family, but we cannot be held responsible for that.

When you choose to join Shinra as a full member the exact location of The Compound will be revealed to you once you have undergone a battery of grueling tests, and passed a credit check.
